EasyRecon Acceptable Use Policy
These rules keep EasyRecon safe, lawful, and focused on dealership operations.
1. Purpose
- This Acceptable Use Policy protects the Service, customers, users, recipients of messages, third-party providers, and EasyRecon's reputation.
- This policy is incorporated into the Customer Terms and applies to all users and anyone using the Service through a customer account.
2. Permitted Use
- Use the Service only for legitimate dealership recon, inventory, service, vendor, reporting, and operational management purposes.
- Use the Service only through authorized users, roles, accounts, and interfaces.
- Keep account information accurate, protect credentials, and promptly remove users who no longer need access.
- Comply with applicable law, contracts, carrier rules, platform rules, and dealership policies.
3. Illegal, Harmful, or Abusive Conduct
- Do not use the Service for illegal activity, fraud, deception, harassment, threats, discrimination, stalking, exploitation, or unsafe conduct.
- Do not upload, store, transmit, or generate defamatory, obscene, hateful, abusive, deceptive, infringing, or unlawful content.
- Do not use the Service in a way that harms EasyRecon, other customers, users, employees, contractors, vendors, consumers, or the public.
4. Security and Access Abuse
- Do not probe, scan, test, bypass, disable, or interfere with security controls, access controls, rate limits, authentication, logging, monitoring, or usage limits.
- Do not attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, data, networks, source code, APIs, infrastructure, or third-party services.
- Do not upload malware, ransomware, viruses, worms, trojan horses, malicious scripts, or code designed to damage, monitor, intercept, or disrupt systems.
- Do not share passwords, authentication tokens, API keys, or credentials with unauthorized people.
5. Data Misuse
- Do not submit data unless Customer has the right and lawful basis to submit it.
- Do not use the Service as a general-purpose file store, unrelated CRM, consumer surveillance system, marketing list, or repository for unrelated personal data.
- Do not submit highly sensitive information unless it is necessary for legitimate dealership operations and permitted by law and Customer's agreement with EasyRecon.
- Do not export, scrape, copy, or harvest data except through authorized product features for legitimate Customer use.
6. Messaging and Communications
- Messaging features are for lawful operational dealership communications only, not spam, unrelated advertising, or unsolicited mass campaigns.
- Do not send SMS, phone, email, or similar messages unless Customer has the required consent or legal authority.
- Do not message anyone who has opted out, withdrawn consent, or requested not to be contacted.
- Do not hide or misrepresent the sender, dealership, purpose of the message, or opt-out instructions.
- Honor STOP, unsubscribe, do-not-call, and similar opt-out requests promptly and in accordance with law and provider rules.
- Comply with TCPA, CAN-SPAM, 10DLC, carrier rules, messaging provider rules, and all other applicable communications requirements.
7. AI Features
- Do not use AI features to generate unlawful, deceptive, harassing, discriminatory, harmful, infringing, or misleading content.
- Do not use AI outputs as final professional, legal, employment, consumer finance, safety, or compliance advice.
- Review AI-generated content before relying on it or sending it outside the dealership.
8. Platform Integrity
- Do not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to discover source code or underlying technology except where allowed by law despite this restriction.
- Do not resell, sublicense, rent, commercially exploit, benchmark for a competitor, or use the Service to build a competing product.
- Do not overload, flood, spam, scrape, frame, mirror, or interfere with the normal operation of the Service.
- Do not remove proprietary notices or use EasyRecon branding without permission.
9. Enforcement
- EasyRecon may investigate suspected violations through automated systems, manual review, provider reports, customer reports, or legal notices.
- EasyRecon may warn, limit, suspend, or terminate accounts; remove content; disable messaging; throttle usage; notify administrators; report illegal activity; or take legal action.
- Where practical and safe, EasyRecon will give notice and an opportunity to cure. Immediate action may be taken for security risk, legal exposure, abuse, provider risk, or imminent harm.
10. Reporting and Contact
- Report suspected violations to support@easyreconauto.com.
- Reports should include the account, user, date/time, description, and any supporting evidence available.
11. Changes
- EasyRecon may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time.
- Material changes will be posted, emailed, or communicated in-app where required.
